At Toulouse the other day ladies were admitted to a Masonic temple to witness a Masonic wedding. The brethren present wore all the insignia of their office. The legal civil ceremonies were first gone through, after which one o e the senior Masons pro-r * nounced an elegant discourse on the morality of marriage, and congratulated.' the newly-married pair on escaping . from the bonds of clericalism. Another r 1 Mason followed, contrasting thedevoted- ! ness of the life of a married womab With ‘ V the selfish egotism of Sisters of Charilyi, The mother of the bride next exhorted, . all young people to follow the good example set them that day, ! and rescue their sisters and cousins from the ener- = : vating influence t ,of superstition. At fhe close of the proceedings the Jbride laid her bouquet at the feet of a statue of the Republic. ~ ~ ~
