LAThST FROM EUROPE [per jrkdter’s agency.] The Governorship of Natal. London) Dec. 5. It is officially aqnoynted that the appointment of W. J. Sendall to the Lieut. Governorship of Natal, has been cancelled by the Government, who thus accede to the wishes of the Natal colonists. It is further announced that in providing a successor to Sir Evelyn Wood the Government will appoint a full Governor of the colony instead of a Lieut. Governor as in the past, thus still further meeting the views of the colonists as recently expressed. Sir Garnet Wolsely. An official statement has been published to the effect that Sir Garnet Wolsely, at present Quartermaster-General, will in April next succeed General Sir C. H. Ellice, as Adjutant-General of the forces.
