NOMINATIONS FOR THE AP PROACHING ELECTIONS.

Auckland, To-day.

The nominations for city west were— Dr Wallis, J. M. Daraville, W. 0. Laing, and A. Fleming. A poll was demanded. For city east. Sir G. Grey and Mr J. M. Clarke were proposed. Thames, To-day For the Coromandel District, Messrs Cadman, Brodie, Mackay, and Young were nominated yesterday, and the show of hands was in favor of the first named. Napier, To-day. The following are the nominations for the Napier Borough : —John Buchanan, Justin McSweeney, and J. W. McDoughall. Marton, To-day. For the Rangitikei seat to-day, Sir William Fox and John Stevens were nominated. The show of hands was in favor of Stevens. A poll was demanded on behalf of Sir William. Wellington, To-day. Messrs W. H. Levin and Thomas Dwan were nominated for Thorndon today. Dunedin, To-day. For Dunedin South, Henry Smith Fish and Archibald Wilson Ross (late Mayor) were proposed. The show of hands was in favor of Mr Fish. For Dunedin West, Messrs Thomas Dick, William Downie Stewart, and William Jackson Barry were nominated. The show of hands was in favor of Mr Dick. The following were nominated for Dunstan yesterday :—Messrs W. Fraser and V. Pyke. The show of hands resulted in Pyke, 15 ; Fraser 9.
