“Guardian” Office, Monday afternoon. Mr Alfred Harrison reports of his weekly sale as follows :—A good few horses were entered, but sale very dull. Pigs, plentiful, all being sold at fair prices. Fowls, 2s and 2s 6d per pair ; ducks, 4s 4d per pair. Potatoes, 60s per ton ; oats, 2s fper bushel; barley, 2s per bushel; chick wheat, 2s 6d per bushel. Bacon, 6d per lb; ham, 8d per lb; cheese, 4d per lb. Tea 21s. A quantity of furniture sundries brought good prices. Mr Bullock generously conducted the larger portion of the sale, the produce being despatched as nearly in the usual manner as possible considering my late accident. The attendance was very large.
