Over 700 names have been added to the city and suburban Electoral Rolls during the past few weeks. ‘‘When the Enterprising Burglar is a-Burgling.’' The house of the Rev. Mr Williams was “ burgled ” yesterday, and L 23 in money, besides jewellery and plate, was stolen. Killed by a Tree. Wellington, To-day. Henry Kilminster, a farmer at Karori, was killed by a tree which he was felling falling on him. Local Industries for Ever. A meeting of persons interested in promoting local industries and the protection of certain trades was held last night. Mr R, Stout attended by invitation, and explained the work : ng of similar societies in the South. A committee was appointed to draw up resolutions to be submitted to a future meeting. The Court of Appeal. The Court of Appeal opened to-day. All the Judges were present. Mr Bell applied ex parte in Grey mouth and Black, on behalf of Greymouth, to have an appeal from a decision of Mr Justice Gillies set down for hearing after the adjournment. The Court took time to consider how this could be done.
