Billy Fairplay, bred by John Henderson, l&q.j o* Park, is a rich brown, seven Ws old, stands over 17 hands high and not by the pure-bred Clydesdale stallion The Gentleman (328), and he was got by i(that .unprecedented stallion Prince of Wee (673), which Mr Ifwrence Drew from Mr David. Riddoli at The Gentleman gained the Dalkeith premium ot LIOO, and the Dumfriesshire premium of LIOO, and was afterwards sold, to go abroad, at a very high figure. Billy Fairplay’s dam, a first-cass brood mare, was goti by Cam pie (119), who sained' the Glasgow premium two years in succession, also third at the Highland Society at Edinburgh, and was afterwards sold to the Emperor of Austria at a verj high figure.
