“Guardian” Oeetcb, Monday afternoon.

Mr Alfred Harrison reportshis weeklysale as follows :—Draughts and hacks entered in plenty. Good draughts were conspicio s by their absence, yet there is a good market for really good quality. Hacks and'light cart horses sold well, a portion of the entries being extra good. Pigs sold very Well, all entries being cleared. Fowls, Is fid t0.2a0 d per pair ; turkeys, 7s each ; ducks,- 4s.per pair. Light carts, Ll 3 and L 6. Implements also sold well. Produce —Potatoes, 8.D., 50s per ton ; barley, 2s per bushel ; chick wheat, Is fid and 2s fid per bushel; hams, 8d; cheese,4d and 4£d per lb. A quantity of harness sold pretty well, considering quality. A lot of Austin and Kirk’s pottery found a really good sale, being good stuff of useful make. Sundries were very heavy, as usual, and kept the sale going until a late hour, the attendance being good all the time.

Land Sale. An important sale of land on the Buccleugh estate, was held this afternoon, at the wool stores of Messrs Friedlander Bros., by Messrs J. T. Ford and Co. There was a limited attendance of buyers, and bidding was by no means spirited. The farms offered varied from about 100 to 500 acres in extent, and comprised some land of well-known quality. The following is a list of the farms quitted up to the time of our going to press, and the prices realised on each lot ;—■
