LATEST FROM EUROPE. [per reuter’s agency.] Law on the Bench. London, Nov. 11. It is announced that the Right Hon. Hugh Law, Liberal M.P. for Londonderry County, has been appointed Lord Chancellor of Ireland, vice Lord O’Hagan. Sir Samuel Wilson, the well-known Victorian squatter, has intimated his intention of contesting, in the Conservative interest, the seat for Londonderry, rendered vacant by the appointment of Mr Law.
