CRICKET.

MUFF CRICKET MATCH. A capital match was played at the Domain yesterday by the Muffa,. Who rolled up in great force to fotnd sides for a game which everyone hoped would last all day long; and afford a thoroughly “ good time,” as the Yankees have it, to all. Play commenced at 10.30 a. m., and lasted, with a brief intermission for lunch until 6 o’clock. Some fifty Muffs put in an appearance, and a good many visitors found their way to the ground during the afternoon, the majority being strangers front Christchurch, who Seemed tB enjoy the fame, and thd particularly “rnufnsh” lay of some of the members whose slender knowledge of the pastime caused much merriment. The sides were selected with little trouble, mso many men were in attendance and ready and anxious to play. The teams were by Messrs Price and Marsh respectively.
