Alfred Harrison reports of his weekly Bale as follows;—Saturday, Nov. 5: Entries in draughts and hacks numerous, but very dull of sale ; however, several changed hands at fair values. Pigs sold well, and all lots were cleared at prices above late rates. Fowls, 2s per pair ; ducks, 3s 9d per pair ; potatoes, 40s per ton ; barley, Is 6d per bushel ; oats, Is 9d per bushel; chick wheat, 3s per bushel. Harness sold at good prices. A nice lot of furniture and carpets and effects found a good market, and sold readily. In sundries, as usual, the entries were very heavy, and though the sale continued until very late, a portion had to remain over. Messrs Poyntz and Co report having sold during the past week T. S. 864, with seven-roomed house thereon ; T.S. 1088, "Wills street. Also, a farm of 127 acres, being R.S. 28305, Wakanui, at all prices satisfactory to vendor. ———i^
