Personal.—Mr P. P. O'Reilly was sworn in at 11 o’clock this morning in the C.T.O. Horrible if True.—The Sydney Bulletin, referring to the malpractices of undertakers, makes the following .extraordinary remarks :—A quick-. wrench of the mouth, a dexterous scoop of the blackcoated thief’s finger, and the artificial teeth with their gold mounting are in the violator’s palm, quickly to be slipped into his pocket, and afterwards to be beaten out of shape and sold to the jewellers or pawnbrokers as battered old gold. Many a maiden wears upon her finger an engaged ring, many a wife; wears a wedding hoop, of which the gold baa been filched from the mouth of the dead.
