It Was proposed by Mr Chapman, seconded by Mr Alington —“ That this Board is prepared to support some such scheme pf disinrge r as that .at the lata'- meeting ‘ or the South Rakaia Road Board and Mount Hutt Road Board, and that ' the plans and estimates, when prepared, be submitted to : the (3quth Buraia Road Board for their co-pperation, and ffnalij: to the County Cpuncil with a request fob their .approval and assistance in carrying it out. 2. Seeing that the amount of acreage benefitted in the South Rakaia Road District is much larger than that of the Mount Hutt District, the proportions in Which the expense should be borne Is—Mount Hutt, one-fourth ; South Rakaia, two-fourths ; and County Council, one-fourth.”
