Billy Fairplay, bred by John Henderson, Esq.', of Park, is a rich brown, seven years old, stands over 17 hands high, and got by the pure-bred Clydesdale stallion The'Gentleman (328), : and he was got by that. unprecedented stallion , Prince of Wales (673), which Mr Lawrence Drew purchased from 'Mr David Riddell at iXbOO. The Gentleman gained the Dalkeith premium bt' LIOO, and the Dumfriesshire of LIDO, and was afterwards sold, tP go abroad, at a yery high figure. Billy Fairplay’a dam,' a nrst-cass brood mare, was got by Campie (119), who gained l the Glasgow premium two years m succession, also third at the Highland Society at Edinburgh, and Was afterwards sold to the Emperor of Austria at a very high figure ; Billy Fairplay will Stand at Grove Farm, Tinwald, and will Travel the Ashburton and surrounding districts.
