The weather to-day was glorious, and a large concourse of spectators assembled on the course to witness the running for the twenty-first Melbourne Cup, which resulted as follows : Melbourne Cup. Derby to cany 6st. 121 b. if handicapped below that weight, and the winner of any handicap race of the value of 100 sovs. after the declaration of the weights to carry Slbfl. extra ; of any such race of the value of 200 sovs., 5 lbs. extra ; of any such race of the value of 500 sovs., 7 lbs. extra.
