Mr T. Bullock reports for the week ending Saturday last as follows : —At the bazaar on Saturday, there was a very large attendance of farmers and others, and for anything like good draught stock there was a spirited bidding, in fact it reminded one of the large and successful horse sales which took place some four years ago. One draught gelding, the property of Mr Yfilliam Johns, brought Lsllos, the purchaser being Mr Thomas Brankin. Other draughts sold at good prices, which are given below. The entries for the day (on account of various owners) were 21, including draught, light harness horses, colts, hacKS, etc., most of which were sold at the following prices—viz., draughts, Lsl 10s, L 29, L 27, L 26; medium draughts, L 22, Ll 7, Ll 5 10s ; hacks, Ll 3, L 8; inferior hacks and scrubbers, from L3to X 4 15s. Landed properties—The sale of Mr John Walsh s suburban land, about 8 acres 2 roods 20 perches, close to the Alfred flour mills and near the Town Belt north, took place at the sale rooms after the ordinary sale of horses. It was intended to have been sold in about one acre allotments, but at the sale it was thought advisable to sell it in one lot. There was a fairly spirited bidding for it, and was purchased by Mr Silcock at L 45 10s per acre.
