Although this office has been in ezis tence for a period of more than seven years, it is believed that objects for which it was established are not sufficiently understood. In such cases it is the duty of the Public Trustee to discharge all legal debts so far as the assets extend, and divide the residue amongst the next of kin. 4. The administration of the estates of lunatics, lunatic patients, and convicts. 5.
