Class I—Three-furrow plough. First prize, £C ; second, £4. Class 2—Two-furrow plough. First prize, £5 ; third, £3. Class 3—Two-furrow plough; for persons who have never taken a prize. First prize, £4 ; second, £2. Class 4—Single-firrow plough. First prize, £4 ; second £2. Class s—Single-furrow plough ; for boys under 17. First prize, £4 ; second £2. SPECIAL PRIZES. Friedlander Brothers—Horse collar, for the best team on the ground. Reid and Gray—Set of harrows, value £7, for the best work done with their two or three-furrow ploughs. W. Anderson—Pair of blinkers, for the best kept set of harness. W. Patching—Horse cove 1 , for the best croomed horses. T. Chambers— A pair of watertight boots, for the best finish in the two-furrow class. Poyntz and Co.—Set of Hasten and Beattie’s harrows, for the best ploughing in the field. D. Fitzpatrick —A pair of watertight boots, for the best feering in the boys’ class. P. and D. Duncan —Implements, value £5, second prize in class 2. ENTRIES must be made with the secretary not later than 4 o’clock on HONDAY, 18th July. RULES. 1 That the quantity of land to be iloughed be not more than half an acre or single ploughs, and not more than hree quarters of an acre for double arrow ploughs. 2. The ploughing to be not less than ■ ,ve inches deep. Each ploughman to ommence to the right or left of his round, to be determined when the ; ind is laid off, and go four times I ound his feering, then scatter the reminder, making .one finish. 3. That teams driven with reins, and nder the sole control of the ploughman, nly be allowed to enter. 4. That the teams be on the ground by ine o’clock, and ploughing to commence t ten o’clock, at which time a flag will be oisted, and to end at four o’clock, when ;ie flag will be lowered. 5. That the decision of the Judges shall e final ; but any protests against the Liles, or for breach thereof, must be lade iu writing, and handed to the ecretary within one hour after the udges’ decisions are made known, to be ccompanied with a deposit of 10s, the nne to bo forfeited to the funds of the latch should the protest be a frivolous ne.
