WRECK OF THE MAGGIE PATTERSON.
* (bt telegraph. ) Wellington, To-day. The topsail schooner Maggie Patterson ran ashore at the Heads, near the lighthouse, this The pilot was unable to cross to her, owing to the heavy sea running, but a signal has been hoisted from the scene of the disaster that the crew are saved. She is insured in the National for L2OO, of which L 450 is re-insured in the New Zealand. A strong southerly gale is blowing. The vessel is 81 tons register, and is from Greymouth bound to Dunedin, with coal, and is owned by Messrs Keith, Ramsay and Co., of Dunedin, and the captain. The vessel is not likely to be much damaged
