The Ashburton County Council directs the publication of the following resolution, passed at its last meeting, relative to extraordinary damages to any‘of the waterraces constructed by the Council. The Council draws the attention of the land-owners, who have been, or are to be asked to sign the deed of agreement with this Council—to this resolution : Resolved, that in the case of extraordinary /damage to any of the water races constructed by the Council, nothing contained in the deed of agreement shall be held to bind land-owners to repair the said extraordinary damages at their own cost.
