Mails close at the Chief Post Qffice for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Saturday, July 16. For the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., per Wanaka, as follows :—Ordinary letters at 6.30 p .m. ; late fee letters, at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapiW, at 6 p.m. ; money orders, at 3 p.m. ; registered letters at 5 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. Mails 6lose at the Ashburton Post Office as follows: — For CEflstchurcli and North at 6.30 a. m. 10.30 a.m., and 5 p.m., daily.
