Picton Coal.— -Wo (Marlborough Press) extract the following passage from a letter received from Wellington:—“Mr Chappell, engineer of the s.s. Hawes, gives a good report of Mr Fell’s coal. He thinks it is the beet he ever burned in New Zea~ land. He can keep np a good head of ■team with it, and uses one hundredweight per hour less than any other coal he ever ■sed, and there is no dirt or anything to ■ay against it. Altogether, he says, it is much better than Newcastle, and he seems very pleased with it, The people here are very anxious to know when the coalfield Is going to be opened up to the public, and all about it.” Holloway’s Ointment and Puls.— Glad Tidings.-—Some constitutions have a tendency te rheumatism, and are throughout the year home down by its protracted tortures.
