EPIDEMIC DISEASES

(by cable. ) Sydney, July 8. A fresh case of small-pox has been reported to the authorities to-day from Glebe, one of the suburbs adjoining the city in the south-west. Later. Another case of small-pox is reported this evening. The sufferer resides in the centre of the city, and is a young woman named Monaghan. Sydnkt, To-day. A fresh case of small-pox is reported this morning, making the third within the past twenty-four hours. The disease has again appeared in the heart of the city, in Sussex street. The sufferer is a girl eleven years of age. [by telegram.] Wellington, Yesterday. It having been represented to the Central Board of Health by the Local Board of Health of the Borough of Thames, that a formidable infectious epidemic disease exists within the said Borough, and that special precautions are required to prevent spread of such disease, a proclamation has been issued that it shall not be lawful for any person other than medical men or officers of the Load Board of Health, to enter into or visit any house, knowing the same to be occupied by any person suffering from such disease, or being in such house to leave it, or to remove any articles therefrom, without permission in writing from such Local Board.
