Ashburton Guardian Office, Friday afternoon. Since our last report a decided improved lone in the grain market is noticeable. On the wheat lands the early sown crops are coming up t ; well, and the benefits of our sparrow clubs are beginning to be felt already, as a considerable diminution in the number of ■ sparrows and other l small birds adds greatly to the appearance of the wheat crops. The prices of other cereals remain about .the same as last week, excepting ’- that oata aro still being enquired after, ■’ ~ 'and holders seem inclined to wait for better prices.
