Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, has advanced to 495; New Zealand wheat, ex ship, has risen to 48s; Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, to 345. Australian tallow is unchanged. The Land Bill. In the House of Commons Mr Forster, Chief Secretary for Ireland, proposed, as an amendment to one of the clauses of the Land Bill, that the Government should be authorised to lend one-half of the arrears of Irish rents for the years 1878 and 1879 in cases where tenants are L3O under the amount of their agreements with landlords. The proposal was debated at some length, but its further ! discussion was adjourned till to-day’s sitting.
More Discord. Calcutta,- July 6. Intelligence is to hand firfem Candahar that serious - discord has arisen among the officers of the Ameer’s troops, stationed at Girishk and Candahar.
