THE COW ACCIDENT.
To the Editor. Sir, —In reading a local fin your issue of yesterday anyone would think it was my son’s fault Mr Mullaney’s cow was drowned. I beg to say it was no fault on my boy’s part, as he just drove the cow towards home, when she went down stream, and my son did not like to go in after her. Having no animosity against Mr Mnllaney, I wish you would give this space in your valuable paper.—l am, Ac., W. Bartlett. Ashburton, June 15th.
