Floods in Auckland. —The heaviest flood at Dargaville for five years was experienced yesterday. Sixteen hundred logs belonging to the Union Sash and Door Company got adrift, but were ultimately secured. Railway Accidents. —Mr J. Allen, landlord of the Great Western Hotel at Riverton, slipped in getting on to the platform of a railway carriage at Thornbury Junction last evening. Both his legs were broken, and ho alsq received severe internal injuries, from which he has since died.—A man named Robert Good slipped while uncoupling some ballast wagons at Helensville, Auckland, the wagons passing over both thighs. He was brought into the hospital.
