The Christchurch Com Exchange. Cora Exchange report for the week ending Friday, the 3rd instantßusiness in the grain trade during the week has been much upon a par with its predecessors, extreme quietness being its characteristic.—Wheat. — There is no quotable change in values to note, but the market is very firm. Tuscan, of really good quality. 3s 91 to 3s rod per bushel, f.0.b.; Sari and velvet chaff, 3s 8d to 3s gd; outer's white, 3s 6d to 3s yd per bushel. The latter is rather more in demand, and for choice samples, id per bushel over the highest quotations for Hunter’s white is obtainable. ■ Chick wheat ranges from is 6d to 2s 6d per bushel.—Oats.—A few small orders continues to drop in, but the demand is not what was anticipated; and although holders are sanguine for the future, there is no change in values at present. Bright milling samples is lOd to 2S, f.o.b. ; feed samples, good quality, is to is lod per bushel; inferior feed, 2d under the latter quotation. —Barley continues very heavy of sale; last week’s quotations must be repeated. Prime malting, 2s gd to 3s 3d ; fair to medium samples, 2s 3d to 2s fid ; feed quality, is gd to 2s per bushel.—Potatoes.—The market exhibits a rather firmer tone, and last Week’s prices are well maintained. There is, however, no quotable improvement in prices, 30s to 32s fid at country stations being the prices.at which transactions have taken place, sacks extra.—Grass seed.—Very little is being done at present; prices continue to rule high. Well cleaned farmers’ parcels are saleable at from 4s; fid to Ss per bushel; badly cleaned, according to sample. Cocksfoot has not been much Inquired for during the week, but prices are firm at 3d to perlb.—Cheese and Butter, —The former is still heavy of sale at last week’s quotations, viz., 3d to The latter is brisk of sale at 8d to Bj£d.—Hams and bacon, yd to yj£d, f,o,b.—Hay, L2 10s to L2 15s per ton, delivered in Christchurch,
