Mr Hirst, the member for Orepuki, will also meet the electors. Population in the Far South. The census returns for Invercargill show Males, 2,375 ; females, 2,222 ; total, 4,597; increase, 836. Suburbs (approximate)—3,2l4. Riverton, 1,191, of whom 113 are Chinamen. The population outside the town boundary is 20, shewing an increase of 214. Orepuki and Round Hill, 917, of whom 368 are Chinanien.
