[per press association.] Contractors Censured. Wellington, To-day. At the inquest on Wm. Peckham, the jury returned a verdict that he came by his death through the upsetting of a cart. The jury censured the contractors for bridge repairs, for not having the road properly lighted. A Negligent Firm. Ernest Greatrex, representative of Greatrex and Son, saddlers and ironmongers, of Wellington, and Wallsell, England, has been summoned for not furnishing Property Tax returns, as required under the Property Tax Act. This is the first case laid by the Commissioner, and will be heard in the course of a day or two
