[per HEUTEIt’s AGENCY.] No Pomp or Ceremony. London, April 20. The executors of the will of the late Far! Beaconsfield have declined a proposal made by the Right Hon. W. E. Gladstone that the funeral of the deceased Earl should be publicly per formed. The will of the late Earl directs that the funeral should be of the most simple character, and that his body should be interred in his wife’s vault at Hughenden. That Frontier, In consequence of the continued difficulty in the way of the settlement of the Turko Greek frontier question, the Powers have now made proposals to the Governments of the countries that a convention should be held under their auspices, with a view to bring about a complete and final determination of the frontier difficulty. The American Harvest. New York, April 20. American harvest prospects are unfavorable, owing to the crops generally having been severely damaged by frost.
