CRICKET.
MUFF MATCH-ASHBURTON V. RAKAIA. A match between representative muff elevens of the above places was played to-day on the cricket reserve. The weather was all that could be desired, the ground, however, being adverse to muff rules, as regards the it proving very bumpy. The Ashburtonites were the first to handle the willow, and made 58 runs before the last wicket fell. The Rakaia men made 111 in their first innings.
