All the markets are closed for the Easter holidays until Tuesday next. Progressing Favorably. London, April 16. The latest bulletin issued reports that Earl Beaconsfield continues to progress favorably towards recovery. Further Delayed. The intimation of the Helenic Government of its acceptance, under certain conditions, of the Porte’s proposal for the extension of the Greek frontier, is considered by the Powers to be ambiguous, and it is feared that a settlement of the Turco-Greek difficulty may be still further delayed. Athens, April 16.
The members of the Opposition in the Greek Parliament repudiate the action of the Government in accepting the proposals of the Porte for a settlement of the frontier question. Paid the Penalty, St. Petersburg, April 16.
