The Tolerance of the Aoe. —“ Such is the spirit of the times,” says a contemporary, “ that Mr Bradlaugh, the Freethought lecturer, accompanies, deputations from the Peace Society to Lord Kimberley, arm-in-arm with Messrs Newman Hall and Henry Richard, and he is asked to preside over meetings for presenting deserving curates, like Mr Hoadlam, with a teapot and a pair of’ worked slippers, the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Bishop of London sending letters of apology for their inability to attend, and expressing sympathy with the object of the meeting.” Holloway’s Ointment and Puls.— [ Glad Tidings,—Some constitutions have a tendency to rheumatism, and are throughout the year borne down by its protracted tortures.
