[per reuter’s agency.] The Bey Protests. London, April 11. The Bey of Tunis lias formally protested against the French violation of his territory, and has appealed to the Powers for protection. Parnell on the Land Bill.
Mr Parnell has written a letter on the subject of the Irish Land Bill, which has been introduced in the House of Commons. He says that the measure is seriously defective and the good derivable from it depends ent'rely upon the firmness of the people in their adherence to the Land League. He denounces the clauses of the Bill providing for the making of grants to facilitate emigration. Greatly Relieved. A bulletin issued this morning reports that Earl Beaconsfield has had a severe attack of spasmodic breathing, but has since been greatly relieved by the same.
