ASSESSMENT COURT.
MOUNT SOMERS— Friday, Fbb. 18. (Before N. Wood, Esq., Judge.) Messrs. Saunders Bros. Acreage, Castle Rock property, reduced from 2,100 to 895 acres. Mr. J. N. Boyd—Acreage reduced from 1,800 acres to 1,280 acres, and the assessment from L 225 to Ll2B. Mr. M. Thomas was placed on the roll as owner of 250 acres assessed at L7O. Mr. Frederick Tooth (represented by Mr. L. E. Corsbie) made a number of objections, and succeeded in sustaining the following : 100 acres, assessed at L 25, reduced to 96 acres at Ll 4 18s.; 417 acres, assessed at L 125 25., reduced to LlO4 ss. At the request of Mr. Corsbie, Mr. John M'Lean’s name was substituted for that of Mr. Tooth, as owner of 40 acres, Boyd’s Road Bush. Mr. Edson—Assessment reduced from L34to L 29. Mr. G. E. Nicholas—Reduced from L2G 9s. to L 25 3s. Mr. C. Blakision —Struck off the roll, and Mr. W. S. Peters substituted as owner of 872 acres. T. R. Hodder (represented by Mr. S. Saunders) —Acreage reduced from 630 to 503. The following objections were overruled ; Messrs. Geo King’s, Stanley Edwards’, and 4. E. Pcache's.
