SPORTING
TRAINING NOTES FROM FORBURY. [By Telegraph.] Dunedin, To-day. Sir Modred did a fine four-mile gallop, the Cup favorite going exceedingly well. Titania and Sylvanus were out early, and did a fast mile and a half. Nautilius and Atlantic were sent four times round with the sweaters on, Kitchen’s other two, Hippona and Boughleen Dhoun, following suit. The two King Phillip colts, Goai, and Mameluke, with Moabird in attendance, did the Champagne distance at a pretty fast pace. Our Pony did a lot of work, looking and going well. King Cole and Maud were sent a mile at good speed, the latter having the best of the finish. Carrigheen was treated to two rounds on the tan, and Foster took Sailor Boy twice round over the hurdles. A number of horses did walking exercise.
