Jack Maori Again. —Another act of Maori aggression is reported from Hawkcs’ Bay. This time the scene of the outrage is Tikitiki, on the Patea road, and Renata’s people are again the aggressors. Mr. Kennedy was surveying land for the Government’ on Messrs. Donald and Hiraka’s station, when a party of thirteen men and six women of Renata s hapu came up, and, without giving any warning to the surveyors, went to _ the homestead and ransacked it. Finding nothing there, they went to Kennedy’s tent, and seized ' all the surveyors’ instruments, books, and blankets. A messenger was sent to Hiraka, but Renata’s party met the man. stripped and maltreated him, and sent him back. Mr. Kennedy then came to town and reported the matter.
