There was splendid weather for the regatta on Saturday; which passed off without mishap.. The coasters’ race, for LSO and a cup—Fleetwing, of Auckland, first 1 ;. Souey Lass,, i: Wellington, second ; Cutty Sark, Third. A dispute has arisen, some of" the parties declaring thaf the winner did, not sail the proper course. A protest was hldd entered against'the Fleetwingior fouling the schooner Star of the Sea. In the first-class yacht race. Pet, came in first, Florence 4oeond,*qnd Gfiod Templar , third., . -This , was,, also mulled, some of the’ yachts'sailing different.courses. The other events were,well, contested. - The fc'orbmittee have decided to give the schooner Star of 'the Sputh first prize in the coasters’ Lace; and tlie Zarifa first prize in the first-class yacht race, they being the bhly boats r which salled the pioper course.
