{Per Reuter’s Agency.) Obituary. Melbourne, Jan. 17. Mr. A. K. Smith, M.L.A, is dead. Walking Match. 1 A two days’ walking match takes place between Baker and Swan on Friday and Saturday next. The’lntercolonial Conference. Sydney, Jan. 17. The Intercolonial Conference met to-day, and considered the Bill for the establishment of an Australian Court of Appeal, as drafted by Mr. Vale, the Victorian Attorncy-Gnneral, and colleague of Mr, Berry at the Conference. After discussion, it was decided to refer the Bill to a committee for revision before further considering it.
