THE LAND LEAGUERS.
[Bv Cable.] London, Jan. 12. The trial of the Irish Land Leaguers at Dublin is still proceeding. The case for the prosecution has closed, and the addresses of counsel for the defence are now being heard. The debate on the Address in Reply was resumed in the House of Commons to-day, and lasted during the greater part of the sitting. Lord Hartington made an exhaustive, speech, in the course of which he severely attacked the Irish Land League, and its mode of action. Alluding to the Land Bill which had been introduced by the Government, he expressed an opinion that its provisions were founded on the lines of justice to both tenants and landlords. The debate stands further adjourned.
