Indian Troops for the TransvaalBombay, Dec. 29.

It is announced that, owing to reinforcements being required for the supression of the Boer rebellion in the Transvaal, a contingent of Indian native troops is being ordered to proceed immediately to Natal, and the necessary arrangements are now being made for the despatch of the forces from this port without delay. A German Squadron for the Pacific. Berlin, Dec. 29.

A report is current here that a squadron of the German navy has been ordered to be got ready to proceed to the Pacific in March next. No official confirmation of the rumor, however, has yet been published.
