The New Zealand Shipping Company’s ship AVaimate left London on October 23rd for this port, with twenty-seven passengers. She passed Deal next day, and was off the Isle of Wight on the 25th. The Euterpe left Gravesend on October 25th, for Wellington, and the Coromandel on the 29th ; the Margaret Galbraith for Auckland on the 29th, and the Palala for Otago, October 30th. The s.s. Northumberland, 1,358 tons, Captain Babot, left Gravesend for Wellington on October 23rd, and Plymouth on the 25th, consigned to the Now Zealand Shipping Company.
