President Seguicr never spared the lawyers in his Court, and some of his remarks concerning them were quite in the savage vejn of Czar- Peter. 'When the docket was called one day pnp yyas where neither advocate was prggent. “C?o on with the case,” said the president, gleefully ; “ Now we have a chance of getting at the truth.” On another occasion, where only one side was present: “ Let him argue both sides,” said Seguior, settling himself in his chair, u Begin now for the plaintiff.”
