He gives a dinner. The Mormon Elder Bites Back. The Mormon elder Butt writes a savage letter to the press, in - reply to Lundon’s letter per the s.s. Australia. Zealand Insurance Co., but the loss is estimated at LIOO. It is believed the fire was caused by sparks from a passing engine, the building being near the Waimea Plains line. The engine was burning Native coal, and had no sparkcatcher, The sufferers iutondto apply for compensation. •/’
