The English Markets. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following telegram, dated London, December nth, 1880 : Wool.—The sales closed at the level of the last sales on the nth instant. Scoured market unchanged. Superior scoured has advanced )4d to id per lb. Greasy market unchanged. Clothing washed, combing washed, and fine crossbred, market firmer. Coarse crossbred has declined id to per lb. Merino lambs, market firmer. A good many second-hand parcels have been offered during the past sales. The sales comprise about 114,000 bales ; 16,006 bales have been held ovei for future disposal, chiefly Gape of Good Hope ; 50,000 bales have been taken for export. Tallow.—Mutton, 355,: and beef, 333 per cwt. Yesterday’s public sales of Australasian have comprised 3,000 casks. Stocks of all sorts are 14,000 casks.
