(Per Press Asoociation.) The Nelson Suburbs Seat. Nelson, To-day. We learn that a requisition is in course of signature, asking Mr. Arthur S. Collins to become a candidate for the vacant seat for Nelson Suburbs. Mr. Alfred Harley, of Stoke, states that he will be a candidate also. Good Crushing. Dunedin, To-day. The Cromwell Company have crushed 343 ounces of retorted gold from 405 tons of quartz. Horsestealing. At the City Police Court this morning, Theophilus Bates, aged 12, and Robert Hobson, aged 13, wore charged with horse-stealing. . They took the animal from South Dunedin to Grey town, where they offered it for sale for L2. The Magistrate committed them to the industrial school for three and four years res-; pectively.
