{Per Reuter's Agency.) Rise in the Price of New Zealand Scrip. London, Nov. 24. Consols, unchanged, at 90|. Hew Zealand securities have advanced by £ to 1 per cent., the following being to day’s quotations :—Five per cent. 10-40 Loan, 102;'4 per cent. 1889 Loan, 104 A; 4J per cent. 1879-1904 Loan, 94|. The London Market. Adelaide and New Zealand breadstuff’s are unchanged at last quotations. Australian tallow —Best beef. 345; best mutton, 375. Best Australian leather has advanced to ll^d. The Suez Mail. The homeward Suez mail, which left Melbourne on Sept. 15, was delivered in London to-day. Wool. At the wool sales to-day, 8,700 bales were offered, the tone of the sale generally being firm. Inferior and faulty wools of all kinds were, however, irregular. Mr. Parnell’s Secretary elected to Parliament. London, Hov. 25. Mr. Hely, Mr. Parnell’s secretary, has been elected for Wexford. Icebound. Hew York, Hov. 25. ; Eight hundred grain cargoes are lying icebound in the American canals.
