(Before Mr. Nugent Wood, R. M.) ASSAULT. Emma- Dixon v. Mary Phelp.— Mr. Hammersley for defendant. This was one of those frequent neighbors’ quarrels, and arose out of a disagreement between the children of both families. Case dismissed, each party to pay her own costs. DRUNK. John Keenan, for this offence, was fined 10s. and costs. ~ CIVIL OASES. K.-F. Grey v. H. D. M‘Pherson. — Claiift, L 33 10s. Mr. Austin for plaintiff. Judgment was given for the amount--by - default with costs and solicitor’s fee. C. Storey v. D. Martin.—rL6 lUs. 4d. Judgment by default. Temuka Road Board v. D. Lynch.— Claim L 3. Judgment by, default/ ■ G. Rankin v. D. Young.—Claim Ll 4 2s. 3d. Mr, Hammersley for plaintiff, and Mr. White for defendant. Plaintiff nonsuited with costs. I. Liston v. Roberts (native). —Claim LI Os. 9d. on judgment summons. Amount to be paid in one month, or fourteen days imprisonment. Same v. Hapi (native);—Claim L2 10s. . 4d. To. be paid in one month, or seven days’ imprisonment.; A. Russell v. Eagleston.—L9 9s. Dismissed. Same v. Carter. —LG -13 s. lOd. Dismissed. W. Gregory v. I. Morris. —Claim L 32 14s. 6d. Adjourned for two months. Jones u Hunt, a judgment'summons from Geraldine. Defendant, ordered to pay L2 per month, or in default of any one payment one month’s imprisonment. G. Fox v. same. In this case the same order was made as above. A number of cases brought by Temuka Road Board, for the recovery of rates, were settled out of Court., The Court adjourned until Monday next.
