The first four heats of the International Regatta were rowed to-day on the Thames, in the presence of a large number of spectators. The following were the results first heat. Laycock ... ... ... ... 1 Hawdon ...: ... ... ... 2 SECOND HEAT. Ross... ... ... ... ••• 1 Riley ... ... ... ... 2 third heat. Hosmer ... ... ... ••• 1 Smith ... ... ... ... 2 FOURTH HEAT. Trickett ! ... ..; ... ... 1 Nicholson ... ' ••• ••• 2 The defeated oarsmen do not compete further. Two more heats will be pulled to-morrow, and the final contest will take place on Saturday. ; London, Nov. 19.

The drawing for the eight competitors in two heats of the International Regatta,, to be rowed to-day, has resulted as follows ; —First heat —Wallace Ross, Hosmer, Riley and Nicholson. Second heat —Laycock, Trickett, Hawdon, and Smith. Later. The first heat in the Regatta to-day was won by Wallace Ross, with Hosmer second. The second heat was won by Laycock with Smith’ second. In this heat afoul took place between Trickett and Smith, and the former is thus out of the race.
