(Per Press Asoociation.) A Rum Theft. Wellington, To-day. At the Magistrate’s Court this morning, Adam Leitch and a man named Allison, alias Thompson, were charged with burglariously entering the warehouse of Murray, Roberts, ami Co., ami stealing therefrom a quantity of rum. They were remanded for seven days. ! oil Springs. Gisborne, To-day. Mr. Clark, of the Poverty Bay Petroleum Company, has proceeded to Waipu, East Cape, in company with Major Ropata and native agents, with a view to negotiate for the oil springs blocks in that district. The Death of Mr. Richmond, M.H.RNelson, To-day. The Magistrate this morning referred to the loss the bench had sustained through the death of Mr. Richmond, M.H.R. , who died the previous day of heart disease at Blenheim. A CJiild Bilrried to DeathTimaru, To-day. Eliza Ann Flynn, fifteen months old, has been burned to death through her clothes catching fire at Wairnate, during the temporary absence of her mother. ** . »
